How to Care for Sterling Silver Jewelry
	There are several simple, basic rules to follow when caring for sterling silver jewelry. Follow these instructions and you can be assured that your jewelry will give you many happy years of wear and enjoyment.

1. Keep your sterling pieces separated. Avoid bunching jewelry in a drawer or a box. Separate boxes or compartments will prevent scratching. 2. Silver (unlike gold) reacts to particles in the air, which cause tarnishing (the silver gets black). This film is easy to remove. Wash the silver piece under very hot water. Rub in a bit of soap or toothpaste. Then rinse in hot water. Notice that the water will bead on the polished piece. Pat dry, or Use one of the many silver polishes available in the marketplace.
