If You’ve Got It, Flaunt It

Congratulations, you’re engaged . . . and you got a lovely engagement ring. Now, we’d like to help you to get your hands in shape, so they will be an appropriate palate for your treasured possession.

  1. Begin by using a moisture trapping hand cream, after every time you wash your hands.
  2. Condition your cuticles. Take a little bit of cuticle oil or cream and rub it into your cuticles. Do this every day and your cuticles will remain hydrated. That will help to stimulate growth.
  3. Exfoliate the dead skin on your hands and cuticles. In lieu of cutting your cuticles, wet your cuticles and use a rough nail file to remove excess skin around your nails.
  4. When selecting your nail color, opt for a traditional, pale shade that won't overpower your ring. A frosted, opalescent color will add a little “bling” to the color. If you prefer, a sheer white is flattering to any skin undertone.

With a fairly simply regimen, when you are asked to show off your ring, your hands will be a lovely backdrop and you will be comfortable "howing off."
